SunTide's Blog

The SunTide blog will be filled to the brim with ideas on how you can improve your life. Whether it's a topic on mindset, habits, ideas, passions, dreams or even just appreciating where you are now, SunTide newsletters will help you realise how you can be exactly who you want to be.

What are the benefits of this Blog?

Truth

I will only talk about ideas that I genuinely feel would help me & therefore help you.

Perspective:

It will help you with your perspective on life... once you realise that you don't have to follow the same path as everyone else your life can become so much more exciting!

Appreciation

This blog will encourage you to remember how beautiful life is, how gentle a warm summers breeze feels on your face, the golden glow of the sun as it sets on another day, smelling fresh clean air as you stare across a landscape made up of all different kinds of life. Not only should we appreciate the world, but should also appreciate where we are in life! There is always someone who has it worse so be grateful with what you have!

Accountability

One of the biggest problems I face is accountability. I can be lazy, I can ignore my own advice and I can forget why I bother trying to come up with ideas to improve my eyes. I am not perfect and neither are you but hopefully with this brand I can encourage all of you and myself to be better.

Community

Across SunTide's socials I want to build a community that encourages change, thrives on adventure but gives back to the planet that we all share.

Patience

Encouragement to take a step back and be patient. I am so impulsive. I want to achieve everything now, I want to see the benefits of hard work now and I compare myself to people who have achieved what I want to achieve already. I tend to act quicker than I think and then lose motivation a couple days later. Patience is so important, without patience how can you be confident you are ready?

Comparison Is The Killer Of Happiness.

We've all experienced moments of joy upon achieving something significant. Whether it's landing a job, purchasing a desirable item, or conquering a long-standing fear. However, there comes a moment when we encounter someone who seemingly has it all figured out—more wealth, greater success, unshakeable confidence. In the face of this comparison, our self-assurance falters, and we're left feeling inadequate. It's a common experience, one where we question our abilities, confidence, and worthiness in comparison to these seemingly flawless individuals.

But here's the truth: perfection is a myth. Those we admire for their apparent success and confidence are not immune to life's challenges. The reality is far more complex than the polished facade they present. And here lies the truth of why comparing yourself to others is pointless...

Why We All Struggle With Motivation

We all grapple with the challenge of self-motivation. Whether it's navigating our professional roles, academic pursuits, or simply managing life's demands, there are moments when idleness feels more appealing than pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zones. Embracing mediocrity can seem effortless—doing the bare minimum, conserving energy. Yet, in my view, settling for mediocrity rarely leads to success or happiness.

Motivation, by definition, is a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way. In this exploration, I'll share insights into my personal journey with motivation—what strategies I've employed, what has proved ineffective, and why I've come to understand that true motivation extends beyond sheer willpower...
